Reserving a character gives you time to write an application for a character without the fear of someone else applying for that character before you can finish your application.

Reserves last exactly two weeks. If you have not filled your reserve at that time, you can ask for an extension (up to a week) on the reserve. After that, you will not be able to reserve that character again for two weeks, but you can still apply for them.

You may reserve one character at a time.

What is a cameo character? A cameo character was originally introduced for characters who are side characters in a canon (ones that have less source material, are more difficult to brain, and not in demand in the RP world), for original characters especially within the Riftverse, and for plot characters who were only in the game for specific plot reasons. Thus they would not always be able to make AC because they might not always be in use or could be in use for a very short amount of time. Cameo characters should not be main characters from popular fandoms as cameos were created to help those playing side characters from canons or those who wanted to play an original character but may struggle with the voice for one on a regular basis or for plot purposes.

How many cameo characters can I have? You can have one cameo character for every two active characters that you have in game so the ratio is 2 active characters to 1 cameo character. It means if you want 2 cameos, you should have 4 active characters in game and so on.

How can I apply for a cameo character? The application for applying for a cameo character is the same application used for applying for an active character simply indicate at the start of the application or the title that you are applying for them to be cameo and state how they meet the qualifications for cameo. For instance, "I am applying for Death from Supernatural with cameo status, because he is only in a few episodes, and I want to use him for a specific plot, but he isn't really a character that can be played long term." or "I am applying for this original character under cameo status, because they work as a forger and I would like to give other characters someone to interact with as a forger, but they wouldn't get regular activity." 

You can also request that one of your characters be given cameo status at any point throughout your playing them later. In order to do so, make sure the character meets the qualifications for a cameo and then e-mail the mods with the reason why you'd like them to become one.

The Rifts cause breaks in space and time, all across the universe. For years, they have been threatening to split the fabric of reality apart. As of August 2011, the Rifts have begun to experience severe saturation with so many Wanderers falling through, emitting Rift shocks throughout the city. No one is immune to them.

What does this mean? Well, it means there are more possibilities for disasters and mayhem in a city where there's an Apocalypse every other year.

Monthly, there will be a Rift-themed event.

The mods started off these events with secrets week and it's only the first of many to come.
