Application

Please, fill out the following and comment to this post with it. If you'd prefer, you can send in your application via e-mail (mods@beyondtherift.com) where the entire process will remain private. Refer to this post for an explanation of what we're looking for. Remember when applying, you have a week from your acceptance to intro within the game.

Please, add the name of your character in the subject line. You can place part #s beside the name in the subject if you'd like but make certain the name is there.

This is for AU applications only. Please check our AU Guidelines before applying.

We will wait two weeks before processing applications in casts that are over the size of ten. In addition, there is now a two week wait between applications for the same mun. You apply for one and get accepted, but then have to wait two weeks to apply for another character.

When you have two active characters in game, you can apply for a cameo character. Information about what kind of characters qualify for cameo status is here.

If you've been on hiatus, please, don't apply until you have returned to full activity (there's a two week wait generally).

Please, direct any questions regarding the application to this post or to the mod e-mail.

Re: Revisions [Ziva David]

• → Personality additions:
Ziva is not scared to be aggressive when the situation calls for it, however sometimes it's to a fault and doesn't go over well. An example of when it went too far was while at NCIS, she once struck a suspect in the throat to keep him quiet because he was not cooperating; the suspect died, leaving her under NCIS investigation for unintentionally murdering the suspect, which ended in her name being cleared. Though, despite this incident, her aggressiveness is often justified and used in a successful manner.

It is very hard to intimidate Ziva, and she has been trained to assassinate and use a gun with excellent marksmanship. When she has to kill someone, it does not get to her, because to her, it's part of what has to be done.

Despite her more ... hard ... background, Ziva is able to have fun and let out a different side of her. A more playful, gentile side. She's a compassionate person towards a lot of things anyway, but that's part of what gets hidden inside.

Ziva is known for her mixing up American idioms and expressions, which both confuses and amuses her co-workers. She is usually corrected by one of them, and they poke fun of her for it. She'll eventually catch on to the right sayings. Eventually. But until she does, she'll be the one muttering to herself in Hebrew out of annoyance when she messes it up.

Ziva is also very open-minded about other people and cultures, and therefore is very good about not judging someone before she has a chance to interact with them. She won't hate you unless you give her a reason (or several) to.

• → Writing sample additions:
Ziva drove along the expressway, not paying any attention to the speedometer on the car -- at least there weren't any police lights flashing behind her ... yet. She quickly shifted her eyes over to Tony, who was clutching the handle on the car so hard that his knuckles were white. Eyes back on the road, she weaved around a couple of slower cars. Well, cars that were going slow in relation to everyone else; to all the other cars, she was going extremely fast, like there was an emergency. There'd be one if they were late, because Gibbs would probably kill them both. No, he definitely WOULD kill them both.

Ziva reached over to turn on the radio, but quickly put a CD in. A few seconds later, a song by an Israeli band started to play and she started tapping her fingers against the wheel as she held onto the wheel. "God, it is taking forever to get to the stakeout location. We should be getting there more quickly than we are," Ziva complained to herself as she merged -- or rather, forced -- herself into the next lane so she'd be ready to take the proper exit in a few minutes. (Yeah, she was going over the speed limit and complaining about how long the drive is taking; welcome to Ziva.) "Back roads are no good, oy," She sighed, then took a glance at the clock in the car. They had plenty of time to get there even if she were going the speed limit, but Ziva was in no mood to test Gibbs's patience, just in case. Better safe than sorry, after all. Work hadn't been easy for any of them as of late, thanks to this case. But they'd manage and get through it, and finish the work. They always do.

A few minutes later, Ziva swerved into the proper exit, and slowed down significantly (probably much to Tony's appreciation and relief), now on a normal road where she couldn't go quite as fast. Plus, they were only about ten minutes away from their location.

"I put the bag in the trunk, by the way. Could you please get it out when we get there and bring it inside? I will go in and check on Gibbs and McGee and let them know we are here and they can leave. Then we can take over, and hopefully we will have this over with and done soon. Sooner rather than later," Ziva said to Tony, with a hint of I-am-so-over-this-case in her tone (but that had been in her voice all week.)
